Medicare Beneficiary Rights

CCME helps people with Medicare or their designated representatives understand their rights better under Medicare. Regardless of your Medicare plan, you have guaranteed access to health care services, protection from unethical practices, and the right to:

• Medical care that meets standards of quality.
• Skilled health care, as long as it is medically necessary.
• Written notice when Medicare will no longer pay for a service you are receiving (such as a hospitalization or services from a comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facility, home health agency, hospice, skilled nursing facility, or hospital swing bed).
